SEQSA is not a club, all pilots belong to other r/c clubs. To fly with us regularly you do need insurance, so you'll need to be a member of one of the many r/c clubs in SEQLD. This protects the other pilots and the property owner. MRSSA hosts the flying Munbilla site. It has a CASA approval for 2000ft height and 1000m radius of operations. There is a fee per flying day to help with upkeep of the site.

What is Scale Aerotow? It is radio control scale sailplanes from 1m to 8m span towed to height using another r/c aircraft (Tug). Tugs can be petrol or electric. From 30cc to 170cc or equivalent.

 I've never done it before?! We'll help you setup and talk you through your initial flights. We have many members with extensive flying experience and various tugs to help get you in the air.You will need a sailplane with a functional tow release..Aileron to rudder mixing should be switched off during a tow.
